Melbeth's Philippine SWIFT codes

The code are used as "address tag" in international telegraphic money transfer, bank to bank.
Well, SWIFT codes and network are also used domestic, and by many (nonbank) companies/institutions.

The bic codes listed below are intended for international transfer from "abroad" to Philippines.
They are valid for ALL branches.
Branch-specific bic codes are common in many countries, but not in Philippines (yet).

Not all banks handles/accepts SWIFT telegraphic transfer to nonbusiness accounts. Ask, try a small amount first.
To send money to a bank account you need:
- Account number
- Name of account holder
- Name of bank
- The banks SWIFT BIC

In general also:
- Account holders address, telephone ...
- A message ("string") to the account holder
- Address of the actual branch
- Your countrys permit / declaration

You may also need:
- OK from destination bank
- Address of the head office
- Patience
Example: SWIFT transfer from SkandiaBanken (Sweden) to UCPB is:
- Safe, Simle, Low cost (about PHP150.00).
- Transfer completed in about one week.
